Ravenwing Emporium is the physical storefront for Ravenwing Creations Jewelry, as well as other artists and craftspeople. The shop is located at 514 Court St, Suite B, in Pekin, IL. In the shop are Books authored by 2 local authors, Trever Bierschbach and Rey Clark. Cosplay accessories, Candles & Crystals, and several other vendors will be featured in the shop. Art and crafting classes will be taught in the classroom at the back of the store.
Julie Bierschbach is the artist behind Ravenwing Creations Jewelry. She has been creating since she was very young, and finally had the courage to open up a storefront. After years of saving, the perfect storm of events came about that finally pushed her forward. Now she can help others put their creations into the world.
Julie is a spirited artist, photographer and craftswoman. Her art reflects her connection to nature and her love for the world around us. Her influences are broad and varied, an eclectic collection of artists, but she has most recently drawn inspiration from Georgia O’Keefe. Julie has studied photography and art history as well as traditional art classes from painting to to drawing and sculpture. Her crafts are more of a natural talent born of pulling from the primitive as well as modern themes and traditions to create a wide variety of fantastic pieces. She’s always thinking, working, and looking for new ways to create. One of her favorite sayings id if it sits still too long it will wind up covered in paint or glue. Needless to say Julie can create something spectacular with any medium, craft supply, or curiosity she come across.
Julie is married to an amazing man who’s crazy matches her crazy, as well as her sarcasm. Together they raised a son who is equally good hearted and sarcastic.
Julie’s husband Trever Bierschbach is a local author and youtuber. They try to do shows together to support and irritate each other. His work can be read at treverbierschbachwrites.com
Julie also sells her jewelry at local art and craft shows in the area. She has also recently ventured into local pop culture and comic book shows.
